When two brands are better than one

Elena Alvarez takes a look at the effectiveness of marketing partnerships

In the corporate world, rivalry is more common than But increasingly; companies have been setting aside their differences; the new idea is that two brand names are better than Sharing databases, strategies and communication systems can be the most effective means of attracting (G )This partnership will give it access to the utility company"s database of thousands of corporate clients, who will be offered special deals on all its

The philosophy behind such joint ventures is In economically challenging times, marketing partnerships provide a cost-effective method of increasing brand awareness and As one expert in the field puts it, "Clever marketing partnerships allow brands to target the right people, cutting down the above-the-line " (8) It is better to simplify the

这篇文章的标题有些misleading,“The best people for the job”,还以为是招人的标准。其实这篇文章是关于Human resource的,所以还是要适当关注文章前的说明:the article below about the changing role of human resources 第八题,空格后面的“That"s no longer the case”是很重要的提示。 “For example,a chief executive will expect the HR department to advise on everything from the headcount to whether to proceed with an ”总裁希望人力资源经理对一切事情提出建议,从人数统计到是否进行收购。

《Staff appraisals》,

出了问题,才使得后果更加严重(the possible outcome is even worse)。

have not been shown也就是without the necessary training。

B段讲了直属经理(line managers)对于发掘接班人的重要性(真是干什么都要从基层抓起),以及经理们的一些疑虑;

C段讲的是接班人问题对公司的重要性,并且应该让院线经理们明白这种重要性;

Unfortunately, with today"s flat organisations, where managers have functional as well as managerial responsibilities, people development all too often falls victim to heavy 。

答案是C段的这么一句:if their companies are known as ones that develop their people, they will have a greater appeal to high-flyers。 以开发员工而著称(known as ones that develop their people),名声很好,也就是看重自己作为雇主的名声。

1、line managers

eg: A rival firm poached our best computer

5、fall victim to 成为。。。。

People development all too often falls victim to heavy

多余单词以介词(of,on,with等)最多,其次是代词(their,this,his,US等)。

这篇文章名为《When two brands are better than one》,两个品牌强于一个,讲的是市场合作(marketing partnership)的好处。

比如A的in such circumstances,B的therefore,C的such as these,D的in return,F的these。

C不选,上文没有提到companies such as these,D的in return和F的these也不匹配。

These are fairly standard items,说的是这些家用清洁产品。

前面说不可避免的会影响到(inevitably impact on the other),空格后面有一个may take many years to recover,所以应该选A,A的the effects正好对应于前面的impact:在这种情况下,这些影响通常很大并且会持续很久。

a person, company, who is a possible customer

follow up the most likely prospects
